VCO Companion 25 zł/mo
SRL VCO Companion is an oscillator in the lower pane (a separate window below the chart) that normalizes the position of price inside a volatility channel to a value between -100 and +100. It shows whether price is overbought (Premium zone, above OB) or oversold (Discount zone, below OS), draws divergences between price and the oscillator, and prints entry arrows on level crosses. It's a companion to Smart Range Logic [Pro] — it doesn't work as a standalone system, it just adds a momentum-confirmation layer to your main chart.
Quick start
VCO Companion (full name on the chart: SRL VCO 🌊 | Strefa Tradingu) is an oscillator in a separate, lower pane — a companion to Smart Range Logic [Pro]. Below you'll set it up and read a signal in a few minutes.
1. Add the indicator to the chart
The indicator is shared in invite-only mode, so you won't find it in a regular search:
- On the TradingView chart, click Indicators in the top bar.
- Go to the Invite-only scripts tab.
- Pick SRL VCO 🌊 | Strefa Tradingu from the list — it will show up as a separate pane below the candles.
If the indicator isn't on the list, it means your account hasn't been granted access yet — request it to be added using your TradingView username.
2. Set 3 things to start
Open the indicator settings (the gear icon next to its name on the chart). The default values are good to start — you only want to consciously confirm three fields:
- Group 🌊 Oscillator Engine, field 📏 SMA / Volatility Window — leave it at 30 (standard). For scalping drop it to 14–20, for swing raise it to 50.
- Group 🌊 Oscillator Engine, field ⚡ Band Scaling (%) — leave it at 200 (standard). Higher = wider channel = fewer false signals (e.g. 300); lower = tighter (e.g. 150).
- Group 🎯 Signal Type, field 🎯 Signal Mode — leave it at Overbought/Oversold (default). It's the simplest mode to start with. You also have: None, Zero Line, MA Zero Line and All (all at once).
Also enabled by default: 📐 Show SMA Signal, 🔀 Divergences, 🎯 Entry Signals (OB/OS Cross) and 🌈 Zone Highlight — leave them checked to start.
3. How to read the main signal
In the lower pane, watch four elements:
- VCO line (thick) — the main oscillator. It's green when it's above zero (bullish momentum) and red when it's below zero (bearish momentum).
- Zone levels — a dashed OB (⬆ Overbought) line at +50 and OS (⬇ Oversold) line at −50, plus the zero line in the middle.
- Background highlight — when VCO moves above +50, the background takes the OB zone color; when it drops below −50, the OS zone color. It's a quick "we're at an extreme" read.
- Entry arrows — an up triangle (at the bottom of the pane) = a Buy signal, a down triangle (at the top of the pane) = a Sell signal. In Overbought/Oversold mode, arrows appear when VCO exits the extreme zone.
- Orange signal line (SMA) and the Bull / Bear labels — extra confirmations. A divergence label is a signal that price and the oscillator are "diverging" (e.g. price makes a lower low while VCO makes a higher one — bullish divergence).
4. Step-by-step example — BTCUSDT, H1 timeframe
- Set the pair to BTCUSDT and the timeframe to 1H (H1), add the indicator, leave the default settings (Volatility Window 30, Band Scaling 200, Signal Mode Overbought/Oversold).
- Wait until the VCO line drops below −50 — it enters the Oversold (OS) zone and the pane background lights up with the OS zone color. This is a signal that the market is temporarily strongly oversold.
- Watch until VCO turns and crosses the −50 level back up — then a green up triangle (Buy) appears at the bottom of the pane.
- For confirmation, check whether a Bull label (bullish divergence) showed up in the same area, or whether the orange signal line (SMA) is also starting to turn up. A confluence of these signals strengthens the setup.
- It works the same way for a short: VCO moves above +50 (Overbought zone, OB background), then crosses +50 down → a red down triangle (Sell) at the top of the pane, ideally with a Bear label.
VCO Companion is a tool for confirming momentum and extremes — use it together with Smart Range Logic [Pro] and your own risk management rules, not as a standalone entry system.
Questions and answers
I bought access — how do I add VCO Companion to TradingView, and why does it show up below the chart rather than on it?
After you pay for access, Strefa adds your TradingView login to the authorized list — you'll find the indicator in TradingView under Indicators → Invite-only, the entry "SRL VCO 🌊 | Strefa Tradingu". Click to add it to the chart. It shows up as a separate pane below the candles (in the code, overlay=false), because it's an oscillator on a -100 to +100 scale — overlaying it on price wouldn't make sense. If you don't see it on the list, check that you're using the same TV login you provided at purchase.
Which timeframe is best for this indicator?
The indicator works on any timeframe, because it's calculated relative to the recent candles (length = 30 by default), not a fixed time. The default values (window 30, Signal SMA 20) are tuned for standard intraday and swing trading. If you scalp on low timeframes (1-5 min), lower 📏 SMA / Volatility Window to 14-20 — you'll get a faster reaction. On swing (H4, D1) raise the window to 50 to smooth out noise. It's the only field that really changes the "speed" of the oscillator.
How do I enable alerts and which signals have an alert?
Right-click the indicator → Add alert (or the alarm-clock icon), and in the Condition field pick one of the 8 ready-made entries from the Alert Hub. You can choose from: Bullish Divergence, Bearish Divergence, Buy/Sell on the OB/OS cross, Buy/Sell on the zero-line cross, and Buy/Sell on the zero cross by the Signal SMA. Each alert sends a ready message with the ticker and timeframe, e.g. "VCO: BUY — oscillator exited the Oversold zone". You set an alert separately for each signal type you're interested in — there's no single combined one.
How do I read the main signal — what is this oscillator actually telling me?
The VCO line shows where price is inside the volatility channel: above 0 = bullish momentum (green color), below 0 = bearish (red). Above the OB level (default +50) is the overbought/Premium zone, below OS (default -50) is the oversold/Discount zone — the background then lights up. The strongest signal is an exit back out of the extreme zone: VCO breaking OS upward = potential long, breaking OB downward = potential short. The orange line (Signal SMA) is a smoothed version of VCO — its zero cross is a slower, more trend-following signal.
I only see arrows at OB/OS, but I also want the ones on the zero cross — why aren't they there?
Because that's decided by the 🎯 Signal Mode field (Signal Type group), which defaults to "Overbought/Oversold" — meaning ONLY the arrows from OB/OS zone crosses are drawn. If you want arrows from the zero-line cross, switch to "Zero Line"; for Signal SMA crosses through zero pick "MA Zero Line"; and if you want everything at once — set "All". The "None" option turns arrows off completely. This is the most common "I don't see this signal" — it's not a missing signal, just a different mode selected.
I have too many (or too few) signals — what should I tweak first?
Reach for ⚡ Band Scaling (%) (default 200) in the Oscillator Engine group. It scales the channel width: the higher the value, the wider the channel and the fewer false signals — set 300 for a tighter filter. A value of 150 gives a narrow channel and more signals. The second knob is the OB/OS levels themselves: you can raise the standard 50/-50 to 60/-60 (conservative, fewer signals). Don't move it chaotically — change one field at a time and observe.
Divergences appear with a delay, only a few candles after the low — is that a bug?
No, that's the nature of pivot detection. The 🔍 Pivot Lookback (L/R) field (default 2) means a pivot is confirmed only once as many candles as you set have closed after it — that's why the Bull/Bear label is drawn shifted back (offset in the code), on its correct candle. At a setting of 2 you have 2 candles of delay, but fewer false signals. Raising it to 3-5 gives even cleaner divergences at the cost of a bigger delay. Bullish divergence = price makes a lower low while VCO makes a higher one; bearish is the reverse.
I see nothing on the pane — it's empty or there are no arrows. What should I check?
In order: (1) in the 🎛️ Main Display group make sure the toggles you're looking for are enabled — 🎯 Entry Signals (OB/OS Cross), 🔀 Divergences, 📐 Show SMA Signal, 🌈 Zone Highlight (all true by default). (2) Check 🎯 Signal Mode — if it's set to "None", there will be no arrows at all. (3) If price is in the middle of the channel and doesn't touch OB/OS, the OB/OS arrows simply have nothing to bounce off of — that's not a failure, just a missing condition. The oscillator itself (the VCO line) always draws, as long as the chart has enough data.
Does this indicator repaint?
The entry arrows (OB/OS, zero, MA zero crosses) are calculated at candle close — on closed candles they're final and don't disappear. While the current candle is still building, the VCO value can still change, as in any oscillator, so wait for the candle to close before deciding. Divergences don't repaint in the sense of disappearing, but they confirm with a Pivot Lookback delay (default 2 candles) — the label is drawn back only after the pivot is confirmed. That's normal for pivot logic, not cheating the chart.
How do I combine VCO with the rest of the Strefa indicators?
VCO is a companion — it works best as a momentum filter under your main setup with Smart Range Logic [Pro] or HTF Candles & Pivots. In practice: you read structure and levels (premium/discount, dealing range) from SRL on the chart, and VCO confirms timing — you take a long when VCO exits the OS zone within your Discount zone, a short when it comes down from OB in Premium. A VCO divergence at a key SRL level is a stronger confirmation than the cross alone. Don't treat VCO as a standalone entry generator — it's a confirmation layer, not the whole system.
