RSI + Volume
RSI + Volume is a free companion indicator for "Smart Range Logic [Pro]". It runs in its own separate pane at the bottom of the chart and brings three things together in one place: RSI (overbought/oversold), volume with a "high volume" threshold, and optionally Stochastic. Its heart is the Confluence 💎 signal — the moment when RSI exits an extreme zone and, at the same time, elevated volume shows up. On top of that, it detects RSI divergences and displays a mini status panel in the corner.
Quick start
The RSI+Vol 📊 | ST indicator is a companion that runs in its own separate pane at the bottom (below the price chart). It combines RSI, volume, stochastic, divergences and confluence signals. Below you'll get it up and running in a few minutes.
1. Add the indicator to your chart
- On TradingView, open a chart and click Indicators in the top toolbar.
- Go to the Invite-only scripts tab.
- Find SRL RSI+Volume in the list and click it to add. The indicator will appear as a new pane below price.
If you don't see the indicator in the Invite-only list, it means your TradingView account hasn't been granted access yet — report it in Strefa.
2. Set 2–3 things to start
Open the indicator settings (the gear icon next to its name) and check these fields:
- 🖥️ Display Mode (Primary Display group) — leave it on Combined. In this mode you see the RSI line together with normalized volume in the background, i.e. both signals at once. If you want to analyze just one, switch to RSI or Volume.
- 📏 RSI Period (RSI Settings group) — default 14 (recommended, standard). For scalping you can drop to 7–9, for swing bump it up to 21–25. Leave the Overbought Level = 70 and Oversold Level = 30 levels at their defaults.
- ⚡ High Volume Threshold (×MA) (Volume Analysis group) — default 2.0. This means: volume greater than 2× the average of the last few candles (Volume MA Period = 20) is flagged as "High Volume". Set it to 1.5 for more signals, or 3.0 to catch only extreme volume.
Optional: 📊 Show Stochastic (Stochastic Oscillator group) is off by default — turn it on if you want extra confirmation from a %K/%D crossover.
3. How to read the main signal
The strongest signal is Confluence (💎) — it appears when RSI exits an extreme zone and high volume occurs at the same time:
- 💎 CONFLUENCE ▲ BULL (green label below the candle) — RSI crosses the oversold level (30) upward on high volume. A potential bounce signal.
- 💎 CONFLUENCE ▼ BEAR (red label above the candle) — RSI crosses the overbought level (70) downward on high volume. A potential weakness signal.
- If you have Stochastic enabled and its crossover confirms the direction, the label changes to 💎💎💎 STRONG CONFLUENCE — the strongest variant.
Additionally, the pane background lights up green/red on confluence or divergence (🌈 Background Highlights). You also get everything gathered in the status panel in the top-right corner (RSI + zone, volume multiplier, Stoch, Diverg., Conflu.).
Also keep an eye on the 🔀 BULL DIV / BEAR DIV labels — divergences between price and RSI (price makes a lower low while RSI makes a higher low = bullish; price makes a higher high while RSI makes a lower high = bearish).
4. Example: BTCUSDT, H1 timeframe
- Set the chart to BTCUSDT and the 1 hour (H1) timeframe.
- Add the indicator and leave the default settings (Display Mode = Combined, RSI Period = 14, High Volume Threshold = 2.0).
- Wait for price to drop and RSI to fall below 30 — in the panel next to 📉 RSI you'll see the reading with an OS 🟢 tag.
- Watch the volume bar: when a yellow High Volume flag shows up (volume > 2× the average, the 📈 Volume panel will show ⚡ HIGH ×2.x) and RSI is crossing 30 upward at that moment — a green 💎 CONFLUENCE ▲ BULL label will pop on the candle.
- That's your cue to consider a long entry. Confirmation lands on the H1 candle close — don't act mid-way through a forming candle.
Tip: in the Alert Hub window you can enable notifications (e.g. 💎 Confluence Signal is active by default) so you get an alert without staring at the chart the whole time.
Questions and answers
I bought the indicator — how do I add it on TradingView? It's not in the public search.
It's an invite-only access indicator, so you won't find it through the regular "Indicators" search. Give us your exact TradingView username (not the email), and we'll add you to the access list. Then on the chart go to Indicators → Invite-only scripts — that's where "SRL RSI+Volume | Strefa Tradingu" will show up (chart shortcut: RSI+Vol | ST). Click it and the indicator will be added in the bottom pane. If you don't see it after adding, reload the browser tab.
On which timeframe is it best to use it?
The indicator works on any timeframe — it calculates on whatever TF you have open. RSI uses the standard period of 14, and Volume MA a period of 20, so on M1/M5 there will be lots of signals (and more noise), while on H1/H4/D1 fewer but cleaner ones. To confirm setups from "Smart Range Logic", it makes the most sense to stick to the same timeframe you're analyzing structure on. If you scalp, you can shorten RSI Period to 7-9, and for swing lengthen it to 21.
How do I set an alert? I added the indicator but nothing comes through to my phone.
Important: the 🔔 Alert Hub section in the settings only ENABLES or DISABLES the individual signal types (RSI OB/OS, Volume Spike, Divergences, Confluence, etc.) — it does not create the alert itself. You still have to set up the alert in TradingView: click the alarm-clock icon, in the Condition field pick the indicator name and the "Any alert() function call" option, not a specific condition. That way a single alert catches every event you have enabled in the Alert Hub. Enabled by default are, among others, RSI OB/OS, Volume Spike, both divergences and Confluence; Stoch cross is off by default.
Which signal is the most important one? I see tons of labels.
The main signal is Confluence 💎. It forms when RSI crosses an extreme zone (exiting oversold upward = bullish, exiting overbought downward = bearish) and AT THE SAME TIME volume is elevated (above the High Volume threshold). It's the strongest signal because it combines the oscillator with volume confirmation. The three-diamond label 💎💎💎 STRONG only shows up when a Stochastic crossover is added to that. Treat the other labels (a plain OB/OS cross, a plain Volume spike, a divergence) as weaker, supporting ones.
I set Display Mode to "Combined" and volume shows odd values of 0-100 instead of real bars. Is that a bug?
No, that's how it's meant to be. In Combined mode (the default) volume is deliberately normalized to a 0-100 scale (relative to the highest volume of the last 50 candles), so it fits in the background under RSI, which also runs on a 0-100 scale. This way you see RSI and volume in one pane. If you want the real volume numbers and its average line — switch Display Mode to Volume. And if you want just clean RSI with the oscillators — pick RSI.
I never see the "STRONG CONFLUENCE" label or any Stochastic signals. Why?
Because Stochastic is off by default (Show Stochastic = OFF). The STRONG confluence version, by design, requires an added Stochastic crossover, so until you enable it, it will never appear (the Stoch panel then shows "OFF"). To unlock it, tick Show Stochastic in the 📊 Stochastic Oscillator group. The same goes for Stoch cross alerts — they're off by default in the Alert Hub.
I switched to "Volume" mode and all my RSI and divergence labels disappeared. What happened?
That's intended behavior. In Volume mode the indicator only shows volume-related things — the bars, the MA line and the ⚡ VOL × labels on a volume spike. RSI OB/OS, Stochastic, divergence and Confluence labels appear ONLY in RSI and Combined modes. The volume-spike label works the opposite way — you'll only see it in Volume mode. If you want both the RSI signals and volume at once, stay in Combined mode.
Does this indicator repaint? I see the divergence show up a few candles "back".
Cross signals (RSI OB/OS, Volume spike, Confluence) are confirmed on the candle close (on bar close) and the alerts also fire on bar close, so those don't shift back. Divergences work off RSI pivots and by nature appear with a delay equal to Pivot Lookback (5 candles by default) — the label is anchored backward, to the actual high/low. This isn't repaint in the sense of a signal disappearing, it's just the normal pivot-detection mechanism, which has to "wait" 5 candles to confirm the peak.
I see almost no signals. What should I fix in the settings?
A few things to check in order. First, make sure Show Signal Labels is enabled. Second, check the mode — in Volume you won't see RSI signals (see above). Third, when it comes specifically to Confluence and Volume spike, those depend on the High Volume Threshold = 2.0×MA by default — in a quiet market volume rarely breaks twice the average. Lower it to 1.5 to catch more signals. You can also shorten RSI Period or Pivot Lookback for more sensitivity. On higher timeframes there are naturally fewer signals.
How do I combine it with "Smart Range Logic [Pro]" and other Strefa indicators?
This indicator is precisely a companion to "Smart Range Logic [Pro]" — SRL on the main chart shows structure and ranges, while RSI+Volume in the bottom pane provides momentum and volume confirmation (overlay=false, so it doesn't clutter the main chart). A sensible workflow: you wait until SRL points to a significant level/zone, then at that spot you look for a Confluence 💎 signal or an RSI divergence as extra entry confirmation. Treat RSI+Volume as a setup-quality filter, not as a standalone entry generator.
