Strefa Tradingu · Manual
SRL Support & Resistance
SRL Support & Resistance is a free companion indicator that automatically plots a resistance zone (upper high), a support zone (lower low), and the EQ equilibrium line (the middle of the range) on your chart. Zone width is calculated from ATR, and on top of that you get bounce, breakout, and retest signals plus a "Command Center" panel showing where price sits in the range and the bull/bear pressure. It's for the trader who wants S/R levels drawn for them, without any manual drawing. Everything is calculated from a window of the most recent candles (130 by default), so the zones always reflect the current range price is moving in.
Quick start
The SRL Support & Resistance 🏛️ indicator automatically plots a resistance zone (red), a support zone (green), and the EQ equilibrium level in the middle of the range on your chart, and on top of that it shows buyer/seller pressure and bounce, breakout, and retest signals.
1. Add the indicator to your chart
On TradingView, open Indicators, go to the Invite-only scripts tab, and pick SRL Support & Resistance 🏛️ | Strefa Tradingu from the list. The indicator plots directly on the price chart (overlay).
2. Set 3 things to start
Click the gear icon next to the indicator name and check these fields:
- 🌍 Język / Language — set it to PL (labels and panel in Polish: SZCZYT, DÓŁ, OPÓR, WSPARCIE) or leave EN for English.
- 📏 Lookback Length (Main Settings group) — 130 candles by default. This is how many recent candles the indicator analyzes to find the high and low of the range. Leave it at 130 to start; fewer (e.g. 60) = zones react faster to a shorter range, more (e.g. 250) = zones from a larger, more significant range.
- 📐 ATR Zone Width (Main Settings group) — 0.5 by default (standard zone width). Set 0.3 if you want narrower, more precise zones, or 1.0 if you prefer wider ones.
Turn on / leave on the summary panel in the Pressure & Panel group: 🖥️ Command Center = on, 📍 Panel Position default Top Right.
3. How to read the main signal
On the chart, watch the two zones and the panel:
- Red zone up top = resistance (labeled
SZCZYT), green zone at the bottom = support (labeledDÓŁ), the purple dotted line in the middle = EQ (equilibrium). - Signals appear as markers at the candles:
- triangle up below a candle = bounce off support,
- triangle down above a candle = bounce off resistance,
- diamond labeled BRK = zone breakout,
- cross labeled RT = retest of a broken zone (support↔resistance role flip).
- The Command Center panel (top right) sums up the situation: the 📍 Position row shows where price sits in the range (from 🟢 DISCOUNT at the bottom, through 🟣 EQ ZONE in the middle, to 🔴 PREMIUM near the top), 💪 Pressure shows whether bulls or bears have the edge, and 🎯 Signal prints the last active signal.
4. Example: BTCUSDT, H1 timeframe
- Open the BTCUSDT chart, switch the timeframe to 1h (H1), and add the indicator (step 1).
- Leave Lookback Length = 130 and ATR Zone Width = 0.5 — you'll get zones built from the last ~130 hourly candles.
- Look at the Command Center panel: if 📍 Position shows e.g.
18% 🟢 DISCOUNT, price is near the lower part of the range, close to the green support zone. - Wait for price to enter the green zone and a triangle up to appear below a candle (bounce off support) — that's a bounce signal toward the middle of the range (the EQ line).
- Confirm direction with the 💪 Pressure row:
🟢 BULLSsupports the upside-bounce scenario. If instead of bouncing price closes clearly below the zone and a BRK diamond pops up (downside breakout), that means support broke instead of holding.
Questions and answers
I bought access — how do I add the indicator on TradingView, and why don't I see it in the list?
Access is "invite-only" and we tie it to your TradingView username (not your email) — give us your exact handle in the Strefa panel. Once access is granted, open TradingView → Indicators → the "Invite-only scripts" tab, and you'll find "SRL Support & Resistance" there. If the list is empty, refresh the page / log out and back in — access can take a few minutes to propagate. Also double-check you gave your username without a typo, since access goes to a specific username.
What timeframe is best to use it on?
The indicator works on any timeframe, because it calculates zones from the last 130 candles (the "Lookback Length" field), regardless of your timeframe. In practice you'll get the cleanest levels on H1, H4, and D1 — there, 130 candles is a sensible, "big" range. On M1/M5 the zones will be very tight and shift quickly. If you want a wider or narrower window on a given timeframe, change "Lookback Length" (range 20–500).
How do I turn on alerts, and what exactly will they send me?
First, in the indicator settings under the "🔔 Alerts" group, leave enabled the types you want (all three are on by default: Bounce, Breakout, Retest are true). Then on the chart click the "Add alert" clock, in the Condition field pick "SRL Support & Resistance", and for the trigger leave "Any alert() function call". The message builds itself, e.g. "[BTCUSDT 60] 💥 BREAKOUT UP @ 42500" — it's webhook-ready, so you can wire it to a bot/Discord. Alerts fire once on candle close (once_per_bar_close), so you won't get spam while a candle is still forming.
How do I read the main signal — what should I look at first?
Focus on two things: the "🎯 Signal" row in the panel and the shapes on the chart. A green triangle up below a candle = bounce off support, a red triangle down = bounce off resistance, a yellow diamond with "BRK" = breakout with strength, a blue cross with "RT" = retest of a broken zone (S/R flip). The panel also tells you where you are in the range (the "📍 Position" row) and what the pressure is. The signal itself isn't a blind entry — it's a hint that price reacted to a level.
What exactly does "Pressure BULLS/BEARS" in the panel mean — is it volume?
No, it's not volume. Pressure is a simple count of candles in the window: how many of the last 130 candles were up (close > open) versus down, converted to a percentage. The panel shows "🟢 BULLS" when buyers outnumber sellers by more than 10 percentage points, "🔴 BEARS" when it's the reverse, and "⚪ NEUTRAL" otherwise. You'll see the same numbers as labels on the zones themselves ("Buy" on support, "Sell" on resistance). Treat it as a simple sentiment barometer within the range, not as turnover data.
Why do my S/R zones "drift" and move over time instead of staying put?
Because this is rolling S/R, not a manually frozen level. The indicator constantly takes the highest high and lowest low from the last 130 candles (the "Lookback Length" parameter) and recalculates the zones on the latest candle. When a new high/low appears, the upper or lower zone shifts — that's normal behavior, not a bug. If you want steadier, less frequently changing levels, increase "Lookback Length" (e.g. 200–300); if you want them to react faster, decrease it.
The panel shows "PREMIUM" and "DISCOUNT" — is that the same as premium/discount from Goldbach?
Conceptually similar, but calculated differently — don't mix it up with the Goldbach ladder. Here "Position" is simply where in the local range (support–resistance) price sits: above 80% of the range = "🔴 PREMIUM", 60–80% = "HIGH", 40–60% = "EQ ZONE", 20–40% = "LOW", below 20% = "🟢 DISCOUNT". EQ is just the middle of the range (the average of the high and low), not the CE from the GB ladder. If you trade the Goldbach/ICT method, use this as a quick "expensive/cheap" context and still calculate your levels from your proper GB indicator.
I turned the indicator on and I don't see any signals or zones — what should I set?
Zones first: they only draw once the window has been calculated, so the chart needs at least as many candles as "Lookback Length" is set to (130 by default) — on a fresh/short chart, scroll right or lower the Lookback. Signals are rare by nature, because they require a specific price reaction: a bounce off the zone edge or a breakout. A breakout additionally requires price to close beyond the zone by "Breakout Strength" × ATR (0.5 by default) — if you want more frequent signals, lower this value; if you want only strong breakouts, raise it. Also check that you haven't accidentally unchecked Bounce/Breakout/Retest in the "🎯 Signals" group.
Does this indicator repaint?
Separate two things. The signals (triangles, BRK, RT) and alerts fire on the close of a confirmed candle (on candle close, once per close), so once a signal is placed on a closed candle it doesn't take itself back. The S/R zones themselves, however, are rolling — they always show the max/min of the last 130 candles and shift when a new extreme appears; that's not "cheating", it's just how they're built. The panel also shows the state of the current, not-yet-closed candle, so its values are live until the candle ends — that's normal.
How do I combine it with other Strefa indicators?
It's a companion indicator and deliberately does one thing: it gives you levels, so it slots in nicely with the other SRL tools, since it works as an overlay on price. The levels from SRL S&R give you a reaction zone, and you confirm direction/timing with, say, the "SRL Trend Filter" (to take bounces with the trend) or the "SRL RSI+Volume Companion" (so that a bounce off support has sensible divergence/volume behind it). Good practice: consider an entry where an SRL S&R signal (e.g. a bounce off support in the "DISCOUNT" zone) meets confirmation from a second indicator — just touching a zone isn't enough.
